Mozillaย is more serious than ever to release its first Firefox app for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. The open-source software company on Thursday made the announcement that they are rolling out a Firefox preview for iOS users. The preview, which is for testing purpose, is currently only available for iOS users inย New Zealand. Mozilla will extend the preview to other countries before they release the full product to the public, as they announced on their blog:
Our goal is to create a great browsing experience for iOS with Firefox. With this first public preview we will be collecting feedback in one country, before we extend availability to get feedback in a few more countries prior to a full public launch. Feedback from this preview release will help us build new features and bring Firefox for iOS to the App Store in rest of the world later this year.
In this preview, users have many features includingย Intelligent Search,ย Visual Tabs, and the ability to use yourย Firefox Accounts to take your Firefox browser history, passwords and tabs from your desktop to your iOS devices.
