Like the current iPhone 5s, your next iPad will have Touch ID fingerprint scanner, codes in iOS 7.1 suggests. While messing around with the codes found in iOS 7.1, iOS developer UNiCORN found out that within the framework used for Touch ID, the iPad devices has now been added for as a future supporter of Touch ID.

After this discovery, it is safe to bet that Apple’s next iPad Air or Mini will come with Touch ID. Apple is known for hiding future products within their software codes. Back in 2011, Apple updated iTunes with some codes suggesting that their next iPhone would be a dual-SIM world phone, which turned out be true with the iPhone 4S.
