On April 15, 2015, a group of hackers named Autismsquad vandalized Tesla Motors’ website and Twitter account.
The hackers took control of Tesla’s website and Twitter account, changing information in their Twitter account and replacing the website’s home page with a GIF image.
The hackers changed the account’s location, name, and description on Tesla’s Twitter account. They also used the account to post some tweets themselves.
The hackers also tweeted that Tesla’s Twitter account is now run by the computer repair shop Oswego PC Repair in Oswego, Illinois. The tweet stated that if you call the shop, you will “get a free Tesla.”
