Siri coming to iPad this fall with iOS 6, report says (screenshot)

The iPhone 4S will end up not being the only iOS to have Siri as anย exclusiveย feature,ย accordingย to a new report from 9to5mac. The site reports from its trustedย sources that Siri will arrive on the new iPad 3 this fall along with iOS 6. Siri on the iPad will have all features Siri has on the iPhone 4S, which includes music playback, iMessaging, Calendar managing, Reminders, Weather, Maps integration, E-mailing, Notes, Contacts searching, Safari integration, Wolfram-Alpha searching, and more. It is also said that it will work similar to open, byย quicklyย holding the Home button — and will slide up from below the display — like on the iPhone. It is alsoย goingย to work from the lockscreen, op

According to sources, the microphone found in the new iPad 3 and iPhone 4S both have the same accuracy, so the new iPad will not suffer from any problems due to having the microphone farther from the mouth when talking.

Since the iPad has larger screen compared to the iPhone, Siri will not be displayed in full screen. Here’s how it is describes how it will look on the iPad:

The interface slides up from below the display with a clever animation. Siri is built into the iPad as a small window on top of whatever interface the user is currently interacting with. This Siri window with rounded corners sits at the bottom center of the display, as you can see in our mockup above. The Siri iPad interface takes very little space over the iPad interface currently in use, and is designed with the same linen texture as on the iPhone 4S. Siri for iPad also works from the lock screen.
