With a new record: the new iPad 3 has beenย successfullyย jailbroken in less than 24 hours after itsย officialย released. Yesterday, the iPad 2 on iOS 5.1 wasย successfully jailbroken by iOS hackerย i0n1c. Today, another hacker and one of the most valuable iOS hacker,ย MuscleNerd, has posted on his Twitter account someย screenshotsย of his new iPad (3) jailbroken and running Cydia. In one of the screenshot (above) it shows the new iPadย labeledย as iPad3,3, running iOS 5.1 with Cydia 1.1.5 installed. The second screenshot below shows the new iPad running the command prompt. It is likely that we won’t have to wait half-year to fully customize the new iPad and pass through Apple’s restrictions.
